The short version: The Quota is a free inventory tool that runs on your device. Use it for lawful business purposes, keep your own backups, and understand it's provided "as is." Your data stays on your device — you're responsible for it.
01Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Quota (the "app"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
02Description of the Service
The Quota is an inventory management application that lets you track stock, record sales, attach product photos, and view related metrics. All data you enter is stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account and does not transmit your inventory data to us. For details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.
03License to Use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not sell, redistribute, sublicense, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
04Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, including prices, quantities, and sales figures.
- Because data is stored only on your device, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups. Uninstalling the app, losing your device, or resetting it may permanently delete your data.
- You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
05Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the app to engage in any unlawful activity, to interfere with or disrupt the app, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data. We reserve the right to limit or discontinue the app, in whole or in part, at any time.
06Intellectual Property
The app, including its design, code, branding, name, and logo, is owned by The Quota and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the app. The data you create within the app remains yours.
07Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any data will be preserved or accurate.
08Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Quota and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app — including the loss of inventory or sales data stored on your device.
09Changes to the App and Terms
We may update, modify, or discontinue the app or these Terms at any time. When we revise these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your right to use the app if you violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
11Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
