The short version: The Quota stores everything you enter directly on your own device. We don't have accounts, we don't run servers that collect your data, and we don't share anything with third parties. Your inventory is yours.
01Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how The Quota ("the app," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our inventory management application. By using The Quota, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
02Information We Collect
The Quota is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect, transmit, or store your personal information on any server we control.
The information you create while using the app — including the following — is stored locally on your device only:
- Product names, categories, SKUs, costs, retail prices, and quantities
- Sales records and revenue figures you log
- Product photos you choose to attach
- App settings and preferences
We have no access to this data. It never leaves your device unless you choose to export, back up, or share it yourself.
03Camera & Photo Library Access
The app can attach photos to your products. To do this, it may ask for permission to use your device's camera and/or photo library. These permissions are used solely so you can add product images, and any photo you select is stored locally with your inventory data. We do not upload, transmit, or access your photos. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.
04How Your Data Is Stored
All data is kept in the app's local storage on your device. Because we don't operate accounts or cloud servers for your inventory, the security of this data depends primarily on your device's own protections (such as your passcode, biometrics, and operating system security).
05Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your data. The Quota does not include third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking services that collect information about you.
06Deleting Your Data
You are always in control of your data. You can remove individual products and records within the app, and you can permanently delete all app data by uninstalling The Quota from your device. Because the data lives only on your device, uninstalling removes it completely.
07Children's Privacy
The Quota is intended for use by businesses and individuals managing inventory and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
08Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
